The horizontal drop film evaporator is a key component of the mechanical vapor recompression crystallization system, which can be used to evaporate effluent and recycle secondary energy. However, properties heat transfer flow salty sprayed external evaporation tube are obviously different from that ordinary water. We established 3D model for in water sodium sulfate mixture were manufactured reproduce real effluent. By applying VOF (volume fluid) model, liquid-gas interface spray formed on was traced. impacts various flux, content, density, temperature local Nusselt number studied, dimensionless correlation established. results showed effect surface tension cannot negligible; as content rises, declines thermal developing region; density largely independent flux region.
